Amanda Coling on The Alleged Azkals Rape Scandal: "Gusto Ko Ng Justice Ma-Served Sa Karapat-dapat"
July 17, 2011
For the first time since her name has been made public, model Amanda Coling guested on GMA 7's Showbiz Central to speak about the "controversy."
Pia did the asking, while of course, Amanda answered, carefully.
Wynnel Amanda Coling said they are not rich. She was a UP Graduate, majored in Physics - but girl is intelligent since she was a DOST full scholar.
Amanda further told Pia, she used to work in a bank, but shifted to modeling and this is her "bread and butter" for her family.
How her name got involved in the controversy?
Ms. Coling first said, "I know, It's something super sensitive, ayoko magsinungaling, ayoko makasakit."
She then told the story about a certain writer who had tried to contact her, 1st week of June this year. She declined to give any comment that time since she did not have a lawyer.
After a month, July 11, 2011, Amanda said she got surprised because there are a lot of "media" who had been calling her, asking about the alleged "rape."
That's the time that she got the service of Atty. Sangcalang, her good friend, pro-bono in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
Pia Guanio then asked, "Why speak now?"
Amanda said that she had tried to move on from everything, but since the issue came out, she has to face it.
She admitted, she contemplated on whether or not she's gonna continue her guesting for Showbiz Central, but a certain GMA person told her, "sige na, nakapag promo-na eh."
Coling described herself as a strong person, very resilient. She grew up without a dad. She told Pia, she feels bad that she's been prosecuted now, she's the supposed victim and yet she's the one who is being harassed and ridiculed.
She also revealed she's worried about her family's security, since they're not rich, they cannot defend themselves.
Pia then said, "Prostitute, di lang daw nabayaran ng Azkals?...Napakasikat ng Azkals, any women can try to sell the same story....What can you say about it?"
Amanda answered, "I forgive them... I believe in karma."
Before they were now, Amanda said that she knew Neil Etheridge and Simon Greatwich back in 2009. Anton Del Rosario -she saw him at times in "gimikan," and as for Jason Sabio, "once, bandang June."
Coling also revealed that Simon Greatwich used to ask her at times to meet with him "sa gimikan."
Amanda cannot directly answer questions thrown by Pia with regard to the alleged controversy since, according to the supposed "victim," her lawyer told her so.
She often repeated the phrase, "So sensitive, ayaw ko magsinungaling, ayaw ko makasakit," whenever Pia tried to query her about the "sensitive" issue.
Has Amanda tried to get in-touched with the Azkals since?
"No...the last time i have seen them, one month ago."
When asked for her message to the Azkals, Amanda, who admitted that she's into so much pressure these days, has this to say, "Still I have high regards for them, Sana bring more glory to the country."
"Sana matapos na ang issue... I believe in forgiveness, compassion, and love... but if not, (sana) Justice will be served sa karapat-dapat.
Amanda said their camp is going to issue a statement to the media, tomorrow.
The Azkals, particularly their manager, Dan Palami had earlier denied the accusations of rape. The source, Paul Weiler, who brought out the issue, was discredited by the former, saying Weiler has an axe to grind against the Azkals, thus his making up of "stories."
