Doing his part to get the crucial message out, Justin Bieber has helped to launch a massive anti-texting-while-driving campaign.
The 17-year-old sensation has joined forces with PhoneGuard's Drive Save software, a product which disables texting, emailing and keyboard functions while the user is in a vehicle moving faster than 10 miles per hour.
"We need to change the attitudes in our society toward texting and driving and I am making it one of my personal goals to make this happen," the "Baby" singer told, adding, "Every night we perform, we have a banner that goes up that says 'Don't Text and Drive' so it really means a lot to me."
Justin's push to stop fans from message-sending behind the wheel will help to support charities related to the cause - such as the Remember Alex Brown Foundation - an organization in the name of a teen who lost her life to texting while in the driver's seat.
There are too many young people, like Alex Brown, whom we've lost because of texting while driving, and it is my hope that, through this partnership with PhoneGuard, we will raise awareness of this issue and create safer conditions for everyone on the road," said Bieber.
