What Really Happened: Ricky Rivero Recounts The Day Hans Ivan Ruiz Nearly Took His Life

17 stab wounds is no joke.
"Pinagdarasal ko yan araw-araw. Sa puso ko, siguro masasabi ko na in a way napatawad ko na siya (Hans) sa ginawa niya sa akin, " Ricky told Boy Abunda in an interview with The Buzz.

As he closed his eyes to blink, horror flashed before his eyes.

The night was like any other night in Ricky's life.
Just hours before midnight, he fetched up Hans Ivan Ruiz in Edsa Timog, went home together, changed into sleeping clothes, had sex, and then after 30-45 minutes, dozed off.

Come 1:00 am, Rivero thought he was having a nightmare.
He could feel his skin being punctured, his veins ripped.

When he got awake, Hans was on top of him, stabbing him continously with a thin, pointed and sharp steak knife.
Hans was angry, his eyes were  fierce, devilish sharp stare.

His first reaction was to fight for his life.
Being more "big" than Ruiz, Ricky was able to pin down the attacker.
"Was he possessed?, Was he on drugs? What have I done?" Ricky asked himself amid all the red viscous liquid that he saw on his bed.
Hans was on the floor, lying...panting.

Rivero saw that his shirt was off, he nearly saw his guts, all over him.
Horrified, he rushed helplessly into the shower; when the lukewarm water gushed through his belly.
He saw it all clearly.
His stomach, his sides, his legs - punctured -multiple wounds, throbbing, bleeding, painful.

He then thought, "Kelangan ko ng pumunta sa ospital"

So what he did, agonized with pain, dragged himself outside for his car key.
Suddenly, Hans came over him.
They again struggled. Hans tied Rivero with a towel on his neck and they both fell down on the floor sideways - Hans at his back, wriggling the cloth on his neck.

For the first time since he got awake, Hans spoke to him, "Kailangan ko ng pera. Mamamatay ang tatay ko, kailangan ko ng pera."
Out of desperation, Rivero answered, "Oo, bibigyan kita ng pera pero kailangan kong pumunta ng ospital ngayon na."

Then they struggled, Rivero won amid his  many stab wounds, he then got hold of his car key and his bag and went out of his condo unit.

Ricky walked, he shouted for help.
Hans was on his back, running after him carrying a steak knife.

Blood was still gushing from his wounds, he felt the pain.

He met his friend along the way and asked for help.
'Pare, anong nangyari?'
Rivero answered and then pointed at Hans who was coming near him, "Sinasaksak ako, sinasaksak ako nito."

When he was inside the car, he saw that Hans was being mugged.

During the time that He was driving, still in pain, Ricky prayed.
'Lord, huwag lang akong mawalan ng malay tao. Makarating lang ako sa ospital nang may malay tao..Umabot lang ako ng ER, Lord.' His prayers were answered.

He closed his eyes, opened and then closed it again.
Boy Abunda asked him, "Huling katanungan, gusto mo bang makulong si Hans?"

Ricky's face suddenly became serious. He sternly spoke, "He has to suffer the consequences of what he did. Justice has to be served."

Cliche, it's quite cutely corny in the sense that both don't know how to speak the Filipino accent, so there.

First PLANT Billboard In Metro Manila Unveiled By Coca-Cola And WWF-Philippines

WWF and Beverage giant, Coca-Cola reunited to install a giant 60x60 feet plant billboard that now crowns on top of  Adriano Bldg, between Buendia and Kalayaan Avenues in Makati City.

According to Kim Ang, Corporate Relations Manager of World Wide Fund-Philippines, the builders utilized a specie of plant called Fukien tea, which is known to absorb air pollutants.

Not only recycled materials ( 3,600 bottles of Coke used for pots)  were used in the construction of the "green" billboard, a drip irrigation system was also installed for efficient water distribution.

Botanist Anthony Gao said, “This billboard helps alleviate air pollution within its proximate areas as it can absorb a total of 46,800 pounds of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, on estimate.”



Wow, that's a lot of Carbon Dioxide! Kewl!

Marian Rivera - Robin Padilla Valentine Movie Pairing, Fans Say NO

Because Jun Nardo knew better, the tabloid columnist has again said that Rossele Monteverde-Teo, Regal's EP, is courting Pinoy action star Robin Padilla to be paired with... drum roll's please, Marian Rivera.

The rumor mill said that it's a Valentine movie slated to be shown February 2012.

The news spread like wildfire, everybody got excited but not some of Marian's fans. Allegedly, they were not in-favor of the pairing since Robin Padilla is the relative of Bella Padilla, the girl during the "Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang" days who got linked to Rivera's BF, Dingdong Dantes.

Lolit Solis wrote that Rivera's fans were furious because they still could not forget the harsh words spoken by Robin's mom  to Marian, during the height of the Dingdong Dantes-Bella Padilla issue.

The competition is getting tough amid the rumors that John Llyod Cruz and Angel Locsin will also be doing a Valentine movie for Star Cinema due next year.

Shiz! I don't think that the studio or even Marian will go for her fans' whims if Regal insisted. After all, Amaya is a contract star bound to obey.

Gloria Arroyo Slams The LAZY Noynoy Aquino Government

Madam Congresswoman had drawn strength from her neck brace.
For the first time, EX-President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo spoke up with regard to how Noynoy Aquino leads the government. In a press-con held today at Lubao, Pampanga Congresswoman Arroyo ranted and discretely critiqued her successor's style of leadership.
Amid the floods that are happening in Mindanao because of the water hyacinths that have blocked the rivers, Arroyo said she had left a fund for the Mindanao River Basin Project before she stepped off from the Presidency.

Now, Noynoy who doesn't want to pursue projects started by Mrs. Arroyo, allegedly did not exert effort to pursue the project. Gloria also ranted about the economy and corruption, citing statistics that compared the present with the past, obviously favoring her almost 9-year reign.

Malacanang's eyebrows raised. The semi-fierce but very intelligent Miss. Abigail Valte, the spokesperson from the Palace, lashed back at Arroyo by saying, the gist,  "Look who is talking."

“Despite her glaring absence from proceedings inquiring into her culpability and accountability as President, she has found time to try to obtain media mileage [amid] the current weather disturbance," Valte ranted

She then added, “We regret that instead of focusing on her constituents’ needs at this time, she is trying to hog the headlines in a gambit to distract attention from her past deeds"

So whose side are you on? If you'll ask me, both of 'em are below par.

I'm talking about Arroyo and Aquino.

Some even thought that Arroyo's neck-brace, then her sudden press-con, were all staged to gain sympathy when she spoke some things against the present administration.

Yes, Arroyo's reign was filled with controversy and corruption, but at-least I personally saw her performing her duties visibly, eagerly and she's always on the go.

Unlike Noynoy, forgive me for my language, but he seemed "lulugo-lugo." I don't see any enthusiasm. Yes, he's after for clean governance, but it doesn't end there. People need to see action and result. Now i don't see any!

For Ms. Valte to slam Arroyo by saying that she's just diverting the issue, I say it's unfair.

There's some "lesson" that you can get from her unsolicited political advice.

She's the former President, she knows, give her respect. After all, those allegations weren't proven yet.

Anabelle Rama Gets Angered; Richard Gutierrez Fined 1M By GMA-7

Anabelle Rama is fuming with anger.
The Kapuso Network allegedly sliced off a whooping 1.030 million pesos from  Richard's salary because sometimes, his sick son could not report in shootings.
According to Alfie Lorenzo's Column in Abante, one shooting day that Richard was absent is charged 280, 000.00! Holy Shiz!

“Saan ka nakakita ng may guarantee ang kontrata ni Richard, tapos pag absent daw o wala sa taping si Richard, ang anak ko pa ang nagmumulta!" Anabelle ranted in her Visayan accent

The Talent Manager pointed out about the alleged provision in his son's Exclusive Contract that says "Even if the actor will not report in shootings for emergencies, he'll still be paid the full amount"

Rama then continued, "Di ba, dapat pag ‘di nagteyping may bayad din dahil sa guarantee sa kontrata? Papaano kung ‘di pinagteyping ang anak ko at lagi na lang ililista na absent siya, eh ‘di bayad nang bayad ng multa si Richard?"

Anabelle even referred to one GMA executive as bruha, which i think was Wilma Galvante. LOLz

“Anong gagawin ng bruhang ‘yun pag ‘di na sumipot sa taping si Richard, kaya ba niyang magsuot ng costume ni Captain Barbell, manipa at manuntok? Ngayon lang yata ako nakakita ng hindi nagteyping, sa halip na bayaran eh siya pang magmumulta?”

Mother Lily May Sue Carla Abellana For Breach Of Contract

Kapuso actress Carla Abellana is in hot waters.

Producer Mother Lily Monteverde allegedly got hurt when the actress agreed to do a movie that is outside Regal.
You see, Rey PJ Abellana's daughter is an exclusive talent of Mrs. Monteverde's film outfit. Carla's first movie was Mammarazi, and is set to do "My Neighbors wife" (if all ends well) alongside Lovie Poe and Jake Cuenca.

Now mother, who knew for sometime that "Rosalinda" is involved in another film, allegedly got disappointed and is planning to sue the actress for Breach of Contract.

The multi-million budgeted film Asiong Salonga, the remake of Erap's classic hit, has began shooting early this year. Laguna Governor E.R. Ejercito assumed the title role and produced the movie while Carla is one of the two leading ladies.

According to Jun Nardo (because he knows better), Mother will always let Carla do other projects outside Regal if she'll do the courtesy of asking permission from the "boss" first.

I'll cut my pinky finger if the "suing part" comes true. I doubt it, it'll never happen. I'm telling you. LOLz

Robin Padilla and several Filipino men made it on the list of People Asia Magazine's  "Who Matters" for 2011. Published by Stargate Media Corp, the men were recognized for their dedication to their respective careers and their determination to win the challenges of life.

Kapamilya action star Robin Padilla was featured in the cover, looking dapper in a brown suit and sporting a hairstyle like that of her brother sister, Bebe Gandanghari. LOLz

Derek Ramsey Furious About The News That He Wedded A Fil-Indian Girl

Derek Ramsay finally spoke about the rumor circulating that he'd been married before to a Fil-Indian girl.
With current GF, Angelica Panganiban by his side, Derek kind of "confirmed" that the news is true.

The report said that the girl's name is Mary Christine Jolly. The wedding took place last April 3, 2002 in Balagtas, Bulacan Mayor's office.
Derek was 26 while the Las Pinas native, Filipino-Indian Christine was 21 during that time when the exchange of vows took place.
Derek said on TV Patrol that "it's a very personal matter"

Just after his TV Patrol appearance, Derek hinted that "lalabas din ang katotohonan" on his Twitter account. I kind of wondered, really?

Just weeks ago, the news broke that Derek got mad when he learned that TV Patrol got hold of the scoop and will broadcast the news on air.

Derek's supposed to be guesting scheduled on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 on Vice Ganda's Sunday night show, Gandang Gabi Vice was cancelled because he reportedly got mad. 

He allegedly threatened to leave ABS-CBN.

Now, you see it's all different. Derek came out in the open, and had quote-and-quote confirmed the news.You see, you just can't oppose what big networks are up to. LOLz

Marian Rivera Implies That Heart Evangelista Is An Ungrateful Friend; Heart Cries Foul on Twitter

And so the rift intensified

Despite the gag order to the cast of Temptation Island, the press-people won in making Marian Rivera speak about her "misunderstanding" with co-star, Heart Evangelista.

Everyone thought they're okay, until now that Marianita was still harboring ill feelings toward Love Marie Ongpauco (Heart's real name.)

In the press-con for their new Regal Movie at Imperial Palace Suites on June 23, 2011, Marian cried and joked about the incident, but she's still mum about the "shouting at her" by Heart's mom. 

Her lines were always "Itanong niyo sa cast, Itanong niyo sa production team" etc. etc.

The gist, Marian was disappointed with her EX-friend. 

She ranted that she's the one who convinced the latter to join the movie, and that she's always there to fight for Heart whenever the girl is in trouble - all in exchange for the humiliation by Heart's mom in public.

"Ang hirap talaga...yon lang, Hindi ko kawalan," Marian added

Dingdong's GF, Ms. Rivera has said all this because Heart is not around. You see, beautiful girl is in Brazil and she knew about what happened in the Press-con.

During the event, Dingdong Dantes reportedly told Lolit Solis that he'll not accept the scheduled project lined up by GMA 7 that will pair him with Heart.

Dingdong Dantes Refuses To Work With Heart; Marian Cries In Press-Con Today About The Airport Incident

Dingdong Dantes will ditch out his scheduled project with Heart Evangelista in the Kapuso network. This is because of the incident where Heart's mom, armed with 15 bodyguards, reportedly shouted at Marian in the airport.

Marian's fans have earlier expressed their disapproval about the pairing of Dong and Heart since according to them, Heart does not deserve to be with Marian's BF after what happened.

Early this week, Rossele Monteverde,  Tempation Island's Executive producer, told the press that Marian and Heart have settled their issues.

However, in the presscon held today (June 23, 2011) at Imperial Palace Suites for the movie, Temptation Island, Marian cried when she recounted the incident that made her looked like a "kawawa."

When asked if she's having regrets about convincing Heart to be in the movie, she replied, "Hindi kawalan."

Heart Evangelista is now in Brazil with model boyfriend, Daniel Matsunaga. Heart will not be around during the film's premiere night.

Darna, Dyesebel Rights Now Acquired By ABS-CBN; Will Angel Locsin Reprise Her Superhero Role?

Don't be surprised if you'll see Darna and Dyesebel strutting their asses in Channel 2.  
The Pinoy iconic characters are now a Kapamilya because ABS-CBN has got the exclusive rights from Mars Ravelo's family.
   
According to PSN, 13 titles of Mar's characters have been acquired by Channel 2, I wonder if Captain Barbel is one of 'em. LOLz
Previously, GMA 7 had shown the remakes of the immortal characters.

Speaking of Darna, Will Angel Locsin portray the super-hero role again? Her fans were buzzing  if she'll be wearing her seksi red-two-piece-costume again. She'd done it before when she's in the Kapuso Network, I wonder if the beautiful actress will reprise her superhero character now that she's a Kapamilya.

Simon Atkins Will Play Ball With Gerald Anderson

The La Salle Green Archers Team Captain, Simon Atkins has accepted Gerald Anderson's dare to play ball with him. 

This is a 'friendly-basketball' challenge that Gerald had mounted in an interview weeks ago for Kim to decide whose the man. 

Kim's EX boyfriend even teased,  "Doon na lang magkaka-alaman"

In an interview with E-Live, Mr. Atkins said," Okay lang sa akin kasi friendly game lang naman. It's fun also to see na Gerald Anderson playing against me. If he wants to do it, sige we'll set it"

So Mr. Player here admits he's nervous about the upcoming match, he's also concerned about his reputation if ever he'll  lose to Gerald. 

"Nervous din kasi if natalo ako nakakahiya," Atkins said

He went to the 'humble' lane when he ranted, "Siyempre siya. Maraming nagsabi sa akin magaling daw siya (Gerald) sobra. Siguro nag-concentrate lang siguro siya sa showbiz." 

Hmm... What else Simon? 

"Maybe kasi siyempre hindi naman maiiwasan na si Gerald he cares about Kim din naman siyempre. I guess pag mayroong ibang lalaki na sa tingin niya puwedeng maiba siguro yung feelings ni Kim sa kanya, ganoon din naman ako. Siguro kapag meron akong ex tapos may ibang lalaki, siyempre hindi rin naman maganda yung feeling."

The green player was also flattered about him being linked to Kim Chiu. *Round of applause

Poor match: In an ambush interview days ago, Gerald confirmed that he's just joking when he said something about the "play-off" with Simon. LOLz

The 27th PMPC Star Awards for movies favored "comedy."

Drama flicks, Sa'yo Lamang and Emir were the night's biggest loser, both having more than 10 nominations but did not win any major award.

To everyone's surprise, Star Cinema's Ang Tanging Ina Mo(Last Na 'To) took home most of the trophies. Ai-Ai Delas Alas  and Eugene Domingo took home the trophies for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively. The MMFF dramedy flick was declared the Movie of the Year while Wenn Deramas was hailed  the best Movie Director for the said movie.

Coco Martin won the best actor for his film, Noy.

Veteran actor Tirso Cruz III has had another best supporting actor trophy for Sigwa.

Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista Are Now Friends Says EP

Heart and Marian have patched things up - that is if we'll believe Temptation Island's Executive Producer, Rossele Monteverde.

She confirmed that everything is over and she's not worried because she saw the two Kapuso actress "socializing" with each other on the set (that is after the airport incident where Heart's Mom, armed with bodyguards, reportedly screamed at Marian.)

The Regal Film's matriarch, Mother Lily  had earlier issued a gag order to the celebrities involved to not comment about the issue.

Well, Mother Lily's daughter was not in the scene when the incident took place, so Roselle talked to Marian and Heart to explain their sides, and according to her, "Each has their own story"

PEP asked Roselle about what really started the fight but the E.P. declined to divulge the meaty details.

In the Press-Con for Tempation Island held at Imperial Palace Suites on June 23, 2011, Marian confirmed that there was indeed an incident.

Why did Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista fight on The Set of Temptation Island?

I'm just wondering, was that a real truce or were they just being "showbiz" about the alleged reconciliation? Point in case: If there's a real "fight" to start with.
Mind you,  a lot have been speculating that this is one of the many "publicity" stunts to boost up the film's popularity.

Cosplay Queen, Alodia Gosiengfiao To Star In International Film

Honestly, I only knew Alodia Gosiengfiao when I read on Celebrity Pulp that she had "encouraged" her fans to cheat on OMG Yahoo Awards because one of her opponent, Toni Gonzaga is miles away (from her) in terms of votes.

Atleast now, The Cos-play Queen has some good news to share with you all, costume-rs.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News during the Toy Convention in Mandaluyong , Alodia said that she's tapped to star in an international movie which I guess is about "girls who's into identity crisis". Kidding!

The said project will feature popular cosplayers from different countries. 

Just lucky, Ms. Gosiengfiao was casted for a "supporting" role, which means she's not the "super" star. 

She revealed, "Ang main character namin galing sa China." 

Good luck Girl, make Pinoys proud this time.

Noli De Castro Implies That Some of The Guests In Miriam-Jun Santiago Wedding Are PLASTIC

The Kapamilya's are differing in opinion with regard to Noli De Castro's "malicious" remark on TV Patrol tonight. If you have watched the newscast, the Ex-Vice President said something like this, "Magagalit ang DENR ni'an, madaming plastic..."

He's obviously referring to the many politicians who attended  the renewal of vows of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago and husband, former DILG Secretary Narciso "Jun" Santiago on June 20, 2011.
Everybody showed up, except FVR. (because he's not invited, LOLz)

Rep. Imelda Marcos, Former Pres. Joseph Estrada, Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and President Noynoy Aquino - they all graced the 40th wedding anniversary/ event.
That ain't all
Vice-President Binay, Loren Legarda, and Mar Roxas were there. Oops!

Well, they all seemed nice with each other. Smiling and even kidding/egging at times, as if they never fought over certain issues that became too "personal."

How about that for tomorow's headline. Maybe they left their "differences" at home for a while, just for this day. (and then not-in-good-terms again on the next day?)

Just wondering, did Noli De Castro cross the line?
Aren't they allowed to give-off side comments that are not related - in any way - to what is in the news?
